A New Day – 19 – Still Operational
Staying with the theme of keeping on so-to-speak today we meet this little fire hydrant. Surrounded by snow and partially buried it remains operational God forbid the need should arise.
I can appreciate this winter in all its snowed out and snowed in glory and for several reasons. For one it further requires that I stay on my toes and my eyes focused like a lens to keep a watch out for photography “subjects”. It’s requiring me to improve my technique in regards to capturing and post-production editing, for example while taking pictures in the snow it’s so easy to get a washed out picture. I wanted more than anything for the dimensions and details of the snow surrounding the hydrant to be more apparent. But being snowed in a lot also adds more reasons to sit my butt down in front of this computer and WRITE!
And that I did folks. I missed my 6,000 word goal last week, but did I give up? Did the roof of my mind collapse under the pressure of the snow and cold of a failed goal? Absolutely not! I remained functional like this hydrant and called upon my creativity. So yeah, yesterday I wrote 6,000 some odd words in a matter of hours and there ya go, now I just have to worry about this weeks goal. Having dug myself out from under last week I am thrilled and even more confident in my ability to achieve this goal and looking forward to what this progress means. And this Project 365 goal for today as well!
Cheers to you all! No matter how the weather has buried you, do try to remain operational. 😉
